Some Target volunteers (including the grandson of one volunteer) help make trellises for specific plants to climb up when they grow (like cucumbers!) |
Here are some volunteers that were taking mulch from a large pile and spreading it on the garden. |
The Target volunteer spread out the mulch evenly to make sure that all of the grass was covered. We covered the grass to make it easier to upkeep the garden so we didn't have to mow the grass. |
Here is a garden enrichment student planting some seeds in the garden while Amy and Lisa make sure it was done correctly. |
Scott uses his hand and a garden tool to make a row for some seeds. |
HERE IT IS!!! The garden is completely planted and has most of the fence up and in place. |
We'll have updates as the plants start to sprout. In the mean time, feel free to stop by anytime in person to check out the garden! It is quite a site to be seen. We ask that you be respectful of the area and do not walk in the beds where we've planted but as you can see there is plenty of other space to walk and observe.
REMINDER! On Friday May 17th there is the Art Show and Sale at First Congregational Church featuring artwork by Johnson School of the Arts students!!! You HAVE to check out the digital photography enrichment prints among many other things! See you there from 5-7pm!
